new laptop and spinning and other stuff

OK.... so i broke the screen on my laptop and had to get another......thank god for QVC

so i took a trip to Joann and picked up some sock yarn

and started a new pair of vanilla socks so i would have some portable knitting
and I've been spinning      this is some Easter colored Shetland

 merino /nylon ,,,,i spun for socks!

so the Easter colors are finished i just have to take pics,,,,,,there will be a lot in the next post....
this fiber comes from WINDERWOOD-FARM........

nice fiber ...very reasonable.....customer service is wonderful and i have gotten special orders from them...
And so the sock knitting goes on, now i have 2 lace socks and the patons socks on the needles
Oh my and this is jacks sweater i have finished it and will get pics up ....just have to weave in the ends.....jack is my youngest grandson....he is my heart

Been busy or not....maybe?

Well i got my order from webs and cast on my sons hoodie....

it had to be washable and easy for him to take care of so i opted for a acrylic wool blend...and i must say i made a good choice....this yarn is soft and very squishy

and the price was right that being said...it was listed under bulky but is more like a heavy worsted so i made him a size larger,used the size needles for the pattern,(my guage is tighter) but so far i really like the way it is turning out,i ordered buttons off etsy and cant wait to get my first sweater thats not for a baby ,done

so  much for the 1 Christmas ornament a week  ....this is the second one and its only half there

spinning ....i am still working on my valentine sock yarn

and yes i have a babe....i haven't painted it yet but am planing on it as soon as i finish spinning the sock fiber
I have discovered the joys of spinning Shetland,,,,,,and am going to spin this Easter

colored for a small shawl i think....or maybe do a 3 ply and do socks ? Shetland socks? I just love this spindolyn....
the light is going so i will have to take pics of the rest of my webs order and i did get an order from handsome fiber that is where i get my needles from...and i think i have a few other things coming this week,....i will look up everything I'm working on and have purchased and post the links next post

its 2014!!!!

Its 2014 and i am already thinking about next Christmas.....I want to get all the crafting done before December...
As far as 2014 knitting goes....well....i want to do at least 10 pairs of socks....and 2 sweaters ...and crochet at least 2 more afghans....we'll see how this goes

so i found myself back in November wanting to try spinning on my spindles....and to try different ones than what i already spun on
so i got a Turkish and a Russian and i love them both so i have added to my supported spindle collection...

i love stone top whorls....and this is my favorite russian
i also have 2 spindolyns.....which i love and leaned to spin on in the first place....i got a new one for christmas....and may i just say her shop is worth stalking

i keep mine next to my chair in the living room....its like having a mini spinning wheel....love them ...planing on getting a couple more
am still making some ornaments...i got this book for christmas...it is wonderful...and i plan on doing at least one a week

Well ....I decided to start this so my friends and family can keep up with what i am doing and whats going on here at home with my knitting ,crochet,sewing ,painting ,and all the other stuff I find my self getting into.
Sooooo........its almost a new year and I dident finish the last 2 pairs of socks I have on the needles.....

i dyed the yarn in August and started them for my daughter....i will get these done by Easter...lol..
